The Brookings Bakery is the place to go for fresh pastries such as cinnamon rolls, donuts, croissants, and their famous caramel rolls. They also have an extensive breakfast menu that includes sandwiches, burritos, and biscuits and gravy! They are open for breakfast and lunch.
Café Coteau
Café Coteau is a unique space offering an array of delicious breakfast items, pasta dishes, nutritious sandwiches, and cool, crisp salads. Located inside the Children’s Museum of South Dakota, both children and adults will leave full and satisfied. Gluten free items are also available!
cOOK’S kITCHEN
The Brookings staple serves up some of the best comfort food around. The menu is simple with just breakfast and lunch options. The biscuits and gravy are a must-try and the cinnamon rolls are drizzled with frosting reaching every crack and crevasse. Dine in, take out, or delivery are available.

EPONYMOUS BREWING CO.
Enjoy the company of friends in a friendly atmosphere at Eponymous Brewing Company (EBC), the newest craft brew company in downtown Brookings. EBC is a two barrel, na-no-brewing operation incorporating local ingredients and pushing the boundaries of production to offer high-quality local brew. The taproom is a blend of rustic and funky modern styling featuring plenty of seating, handmade tables, and a quaint outdoor patio that faces Main Street.
Flavor Indian & Asian Fare
“At Flavor Indian & Asian Fare, Indian favorites are fused with Thai and Vietnamese cuisines bringing international flair to downtown Brookings. Included, we have an international grocery store featuring hard-to-find ingredients you need to create your own Indian, Korean, Chinese, Middle Eastern, African, and Nepali dishes.
In 2023, Flavor partnered with Taco Express and Guadalajara’s to bring Taquería Los Amigos to the late night dining scene with tacos, quesadillas, and burritos, operating out of the Flavor dining room.

Established in 1971, George’s Pizza is a downtown original famous for its late-night window pizza. Authentic Greek dishes like gyros, baklava, and pasta are served daily while the buffet is only served on select afternoons and nights. Dine-in, carry-out, and delivery available.

Channeling the campus youth of today, the Wild Hare is a sports bar and nightclub packing a punch with more than 26 beers on tap, including micro brews and domestics. The industrial vibe mixed with modern technology and a high end sound system will keep the fun happening well into the wee hours. With two outdoor patios and a large indoor space, the entertainment possibilities are endless.
WOODEN LEGS BREWING CO.
Located in the heart of downtown, Wooden Legs Brewing Co. (WLBC) is dedicated to all things craft brew, frequently swapping their home brew taps with guest taps from other local brew pubs. WLBC also comes with a well-stocked bottle cooler with more than 100 varieties of beer. Lunch and dinner is available to all ages, serving cracker-crust pizza and homemade deli sandwiches. In 2017, WLBC expanded to bottle distribution, a big step for this local brewery!
